Your Child’s Safety is our Top Priority

Protocols for Camper Health, Safety, Anti-bullying, and Harassment Prevention

Our protocols

  • We take safety and prevention seriously and understand how sensitive this topic is. All staff complete rigorous, in-person training each year covering sexual harassment and assault prevention, strict privacy standards, identifying and reporting concerns, recognizing grooming behaviors, and more. In addition, every staff member undergoes a thorough background check before working with campers. Campers also have a brief age-appropriate conversation with staff that covers safe touch, how to report concerns, and related topics. Parents may review what is shared with campers by viewing our safety poster.

  • Our staff are highly trained in outdoor sports and activities. All are required to hold current CPR and first aid certification and complete multiple safety protocol trainings before campers arrive.

  • We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. While children with a repeated history of bullying are not accepted, if bullying arises at camp, we address it immediately and involve parents in multiple conversations. At the beginning of camp, we review our camp rules around bullying with all campers. To learn more about what is shared, please view our camp rules poster. Above all, we work hard to create a warm, inclusive, and lighthearted culture where every camper feels safe and supported.
